The OTA assists patients in improving their ability to perform activities of daily living, increase functional independence, promote safety, and achieve the goals established in the patient's individualized plan of care. The OTA works collaboratively with the Occupational Therapist, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to promote quality outcomes and continuity of care.
