Home Health Location:
Daytona, FL Employment Type:
1099 Contract /
Per Visit Compensation:
$55 per visit
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide high-quality home health services to patients in their place of residence. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to implement treatment plans that improve patients' independence and ability to perform daily living activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services in accordance with the established Plan of Care Assist patients in improving daily living skills and functional independence Accurately document patient progress and treatment outcomes Communicate effectively with the supervising Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques Maintain compliance with all state, federal, Medicare, and agency regulations
Qualifications:
Active Florida license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Minimum of 1 year of home health experience preferred Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
Preferred Skills:
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) Knowledge of Medicare guidelines and documentation standards Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
