The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to assist patients in achieving their therapeutic goals. This role involves providing support in a PPEC setting. The COTA will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for patients across pediatric patients.

!!!!!! Duties Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and improve functional abilities. Implement treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist, ensuring adherence to care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Provide patient care in diverse settings, including inpatient and outpatient facilities, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and adjust treatment strategies based on patient progress and feedback. Utilize medical imaging and knowledge of physiology to inform treatment approaches and enhance patient outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment sessions, and any changes in condition or response to therapy. Engage with patients and their families to educate them about therapy processes and encourage active participation in their recovery journey. Skills Proficient in assisting with ADLs and understanding the unique needs of various populations, including geriatrics and pediatrics. Knowledgeable in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to occupational health practices. Experience in home health care, acute care settings, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient clinics is highly desirable. Ability to develop effective care plans that align with patient goals while demonstrating strong communication skills for collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Familiarity with patient care protocols and best practices within occupational therapy frameworks. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively while maintaining attention to detail in documentation.
