Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Early Path Pediatric Therapy Plantation, FL Job Details Part-time | PRN | Contract | Per diem $32 - $35 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Anatomy knowledge Interpersonal skills COTA Patient interaction Full Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services to patients at our center in Plantation and surrounding schools/daycares. Your focus will be on helping patients improve their daily living skills and overall quality of life through tailored treatment plans. Responsibilities Assist in the implementation of individualized care plans developed by the Occupational Therapist. Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises and activities designed to enhance mobility and functional independence. Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist. Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and home exercise programs. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities in compliance with facility policies. Experience Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program is required. Experience working in pediatrics settings is preferred. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to occupational therapy practices. Familiarity with developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
