Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated, ambitious, FUN and creative Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with a positive attitude and an entrepreneurial spirt to join our healthcare team. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services that help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. This role is essential in delivering high-quality care to seniors in home health environments. This territory will cover south Hillsborough County area including Brandon, Riverview, Apollo Beach, Ruskin, and Sun City Center. Duties Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans as directed by the Occupational Therapist. Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises and activities to improve patients' physical and cognitive abilities. Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising Occupational Therapist. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and home exercise programs. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress in compliance with regulatory standards. Develop and implement marketing strategies to build referral sources and acquire new patients. Qualifications Current FL license and certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is required. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and occupational health practices is essential. Experience in skilled nursing facilities or home health settings is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with NetHeath (fomerly RehabOptima) documentation system preferred. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. A commitment to providing compassionate care that enhances the quality of life for older adults.
