Job Description
Menorah Life is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The COTA works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services that help residents improve their ability to perform daily activities and enhance their overall quality of life. Key Responsibilities Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist. Provide therapeutic interventions to help residents improve mobility, strength, coordination, and independence in daily living activities. Monitor and document patient progress toward treatment goals. Communicate effectively with the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary care team regarding patient status and needs. Educate residents and families on therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment when appropriate. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and facility guidelines. Ensure therapy areas and equipment are maintained in a safe and clean condition. Qualifications Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in the state of Florida (or eligibility to obtain). Current CPR certification preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team. Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatric settings preferred but not required.
