This role involves providing specialized therapy services to children, helping them develop essential skills for daily living and academic success. The ideal candidate will have experience in pediatric occupational therapy and possess excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and other school staff. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives by fostering their independence and functional abilities. Responsibilities Deliver pediatric occupational therapy services tailored to individual student needs within the school environment Assess students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities to develop personalized treatment plans Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving fine motor skills, coordination, sensory integration, and daily living activities Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' educational and developmental goals Monitor and document students' progress regularly, adjusting therapy plans as needed Educate school staff and families on strategies to support students' ongoing development outside of therapy sessions Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and school policies regarding student health and safety Qualifications Valid licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapist or Occupational Therapy Assistant with pediatric experience preferred Proven experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, teachers, and colleagues Knowledge of pediatric developmental milestones and therapeutic techniques Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic school environment Compassionate approach with a focus on promoting independence and confidence among students This position is an excellent opportunity for professionals passionate about supporting children's growth through occupational therapy in an educational setting.
