Job Description
EnduraCare AcuteCare seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support high-quality rehabilitation services in acute and post-acute hospital settings. Working under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, you will implement treatment plans, assist with patient assessments, and deliver therapeutic interventions to improve functional independence, safety, and quality of life. The OTA will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, document patient progress, educate patients and families, and contribute to evidence-based, patient-first care. Responsibilities Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Provide therapeutic interventions to improve ADLs, functional mobility, and safety. Assist with patient assessments and report observation-based changes in status. Document treatments, patient progress, and outcomes in the EMR accurately and timely. Educate patients and families on exercises, adaptive strategies, and discharge recommendations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary hospital teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards. Participate in continuous learning, in-services, and evidence-based practice initiatives. Support efficient caseload management and contribute to department productivity goals. Promote Endura Care's patient-first, collaborative culture in all interactions.
