Job Description

EnduraCare AcuteCare is seeking a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support acute care therapy services in partner hospitals. Working under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will deliver evidence-based interventions to improve patients' functional independence, safety, and discharge readiness. Responsibilities include carrying out treatment plans, assisting with ADL training and mobility, documenting in the EMR, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. You'll join a patient-centered, clinically focused organization that offers ongoing education and opportunities for professional growth across diverse hospital settings. Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist for acute care inpatients. Implement individualized treatment plans focused on functional mobility, ADLs, and safe discharge planning. Perform patient observations, measure progress, and document care in the EMR per hospital and regulatory standards. Collaborate with OTs, PTs, SLPs, nursing, and case management to support coordinated patient care. Educate patients and families on home programs, safety strategies, and adaptive equipment use. Follow infection control, safety, and compliance policies in line with hospital and regulatory requirements. Assist with scheduling flexibility to cover PRN needs including weekends or holidays as needed. Participate in ongoing clinical education and quality improvement initiatives.
