Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in PreK through 8th grade within a vibrant community near Aurora, IL. As a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), you'll play an integral role in helping students of varying diagnoses reach their fullest potential across elementary buildings in Lockport and Crest Hill. Your expertise in school-based and healthcare COTA practices will contribute to a collaborative, student-centered environment.
Key Qualifications:
Active Illinois COTA license required Previous experience working in school settings highly preferred Strong understanding of a range of diagnoses relevant to PreK8th grade students Ability to adapt and work effectively across multiple elementary locations Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Dedication to supporting students developmental and educational goals Reliable, self-motivated, and organized
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to assigned caseload Collaborate with teachers, other therapists, and families to develop and implement individualized intervention plans Document progress and maintain compliance with school and state guidelines Provide input for IEP meetings as a valued member of the multidisciplinary team Serve as a resource for staff regarding best practices in occupational therapy within the school setting Travel between assigned school sites within Lockport and Crest Hill (Will County)
