Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding, full-time role supporting schools as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). You'll work closely with students and staff across three engaging campuses, helping to empower diverse young learners through creative therapy solutions. This contract position begins as soon as possible and extends through the end of the school year, offering consistent hours Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 3:45pm. Ideal candidates have experience in educational settings and a passion for making a positive impact in students' academic and daily lives. You'll collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and families while rotating between three welcoming sites to ensure students receive the support they need.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current licensure and certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Background in school-based occupational therapy or interest in pediatric settings Strong communication skills for collaboration with educational teams, students, and parents Flexibility to travel between assigned school sites as scheduled Up-to-date knowledge of best practices for individualized education programs (IEPs) and student support Ability to maintain accurate documentation on student progress
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy interventions under the supervision of an OTR/L Support implementation of IEP goals and modifications in school environments Assist students in developing skills for classroom participation, self-care, and social interaction Collaborate with teaching staff and families to carry out tailored therapy strategies Track student growth and daily documentation responsibilities Participate in team meetings and contribute input for IEP development This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your expertise and creativity to schools where your work will make a measurable difference.
