Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across multiple school sites near Des Plaines, IL. As a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA), youll provide meaningful interventions that help children and young adults achieve their educational goals, working with ages ranging from Pre-K through transition-aged students (up to 22). This itinerant position enables you to collaborate with diverse educational teams at various elementary, middle, and high schools, making a positive impact throughout the district.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current active clinical license through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Valid Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) educator license Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly valued Confidence traveling between assigned school sites and adapting to varied student needs Completion of fingerprinting and timely credentialing requirements
Your Role and Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy support according to students IEPs and 504 plans Collaborate with OTs and school staff to create individualized strategies for skill development Track student progress, maintain documentation, and participate in team meetings Adjust interventions to suit various age groups and educational environments Provide daily services on-site as assigned; this position is exclusively in-person This full-time contract offers engaging workdays of 35-37.5 hours per week, with scheduling that aligns to different school start and end times across multiple campuses.
