Comprehensive Benefits Package Make a Difference Every Day Serenity Estates of Freeport is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our permanent, in-house therapy team . This is an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with residents while helping them maintain independence, improve daily functioning, and enjoy a better quality of life. You'll work alongside a supportive clinical team and provide personalized, patient-centered care under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist. What You'll Do Provide hands-on occupational therapy services according to established treatment plans. Help residents improve their ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) and maintain independence. Educate residents and families on therapeutic techniques, exercises, and adaptive equipment. Monitor resident progress and communicate observations with the supervising OT and care team. Complete accurate and timely electronic medical documentation. Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to provide coordinated care. Develop positive, trusting relationships with residents and their families. What We're Looking For Active, unrestricted COTA license in the State of Illinois . Strong clinical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A compassionate, patient-centered approach. Experience working with seniors is preferred, but we welcome qualified candidates who are passionate about providing quality care.
