Job Description

Make a meaningful impact by supporting students growth in a school-based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position. This full-time contract opportunity places you onsite within elementary buildings, helping PreK-8th grade students with a wide range of diagnoses. Your role spans settings where every day brings new challenges and opportunities to encourage childrens success and independence.
Desired experience and qualities:
Valid Illinois COTA license required Previous experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy support preferred Understanding of healthcare applications within educational environments Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with educators, therapists, and families Flexibility and adaptability across multiple elementary campuses Professional, compassionate, and student-focused approach Key responsibilities: Provide direct occupational therapy interventions as planned by the supervising OTR, helping students build critical skills Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, teachers, and other support staff to integrate strategies into the school setting Support documentation and progress monitoring in compliance with school and state standards Work primarily with students from PreK to 8th grade, addressing a range of physical, sensory, and developmental needs Travel between assigned elementary buildings in the local area as needed Enjoy a professional environment with comprehensive benefits designed for your well-being and growth.
