9674854-60193 Job Description Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) supporting students across a well-respected school district near Schaumburg, IL. This is an on-site, itinerant position where your expertise will make a meaningful impact on students' development, from Pre-K through transition-age (up to 22), as you travel between multiple elementary, middle, and high schools.

Key Qualifications:

Active clinical license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Valid educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Prior experience in school settings is strongly preferred Strong adaptability for working with varied student ages and needs Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams Preparedness to complete time-sensitive fingerprinting as required

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students with diverse abilities, following individualized education plans (IEPs) Support clinicians and educators by providing insightful observations and reports on students progress Employ engaging, evidence-based interventions that foster skill-building in academic and functional areas Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and other staff to promote student success in inclusive school environments Maintain clear and accurate documentation according to district and regulatory guidelines Flexibly adjust to different school schedules, providing coverage as needed across various school sites
