Job Description

Step into a dynamic school environment as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) and empower students from preschool through age 22 to reach their fullest potential. This contract opportunity is based near Schaumburg, IL, and offers the chance to make a meaningful difference while collaborating with a supportive educational team. Youll be working full-time, covering 35-37.5 hours weekly, with responsibilities spread across multiple school sitesincluding elementary, middle, and high school settings. Each day provides a unique experience as you travel between campuses within the district, supporting students growth and independence.
Desired Qualifications:
Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credentials from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Valid Illinois educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Prior experience in a school-based setting is highly regarded Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility to adapt to varying schedules and environments Fingerprinting requirement must be completed as part of onboarding
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy interventions as prescribed by an Occupational Therapist Support students participation and success in school routines and activities Collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, and families to implement individualized student plans Document student progress and maintain accurate, timely records Travel between assigned school sites to provide direct services to a diverse caseload
