Job Description

Bring your passion for student care as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting a K-6 school environment on a full-time contract. Located near Washington and Peoria, IL, this opportunity involves working 35 hours per week with students from kindergarten through sixth grade. You'll provide direct services, collaborate closely with educators, and help students develop the skills they need for everyday success through the end of the school year.
Qualifications:
Valid COTA license in Illinois Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Strong understanding of K-6 developmental needs Positive communication skills and a team-oriented approach Ability to implement therapy plans under OT supervision
Responsibilities:
Support students participation in classroom and daily activities through targeted interventions Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising Occupational Therapist Track student progress and document sessions in accordance with school and state guidelines Provide input for student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and attend team meetings as requested Encourage student independence and engagement in classroom routines
