Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students' growth and independence as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a school-based setting near Kansas City, KS. This position starts as soon as possible and continues through late May 2027, providing steady, long-term work in an interdisciplinary educational environment. Collaborate closely with district Occupational Therapists to help manage their larger caseloads. You'll visit 1-3 assigned campuses weekly, offering hands-on assistance to students who benefit from occupational therapy. The schedule for campus visits is flexible and determined by you, allowing for autonomy in managing your workload while meeting student needs.
Key Qualifications:
Active certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Previous experience supporting pediatric or school-aged clients is preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage positively with students, staff, and families Adaptability to travel between multiple campuses each week Dedication to supporting the goals outlined by supervising district
