Serving a school-based setting near Topeka, KS, you'll play a vital role in providing pediatric occupational therapy services to studentshelping them reach their fullest potential. Key Qualifications:
Active state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is required Previous experience in a pediatric or school-based environment is preferred Ability to effectively engage with students, teachers, and parents Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Adaptability and eagerness to contribute in a dynamic academic environment
Primary Responsibilities:
Work closely with occupational therapists to implement student treatment plans Provide direct therapy sessions to students, focusing on enhancing their participation in school activities Collaborate with educators and families to develop appropriate intervention strategies Document student progress and report results in accordance with school and regulatory standards Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
