Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Job Description
JEdema Partners is a privately owned outpatient occupational therapy clinic specializing in the evaluation and treatment of lymphedema and chronic edema. We are looking for a compassionate, dependable Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a COTA who enjoys working closely with patients and wants to develop expertise in a unique and rewarding specialty. Previous lymphedema experience or Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) certification is not required. We will provide training and mentorship to the right individual who is motivated to learn. Responsibilities Carry out individualized treatment plans under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist. Provide hands-on treatment for patients with lymphedema, chronic edema, wounds, and related conditions. Educate patients and caregivers on home management, compression, skin care, exercise, and long-term self-management. Document treatment sessions accurately and promptly. Communicate effectively with the supervising OT and healthcare team. Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while helping patients achieve their goals. Qualifications Current Kentucky Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) license (or eligible for licensure). Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn a specialty area of practice. Outpatient experience is a plus but not required.
