Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting student success as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) across multiple school locations near Cambridge, MA. As a vital member of the school-based therapy team, you'll provide essential services Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm. This full-time opportunity connects you with students who benefit from your expertise and compassion, fostering their growth and participation in the classroom.
What you bring:
Current COTA certification and licensure for Massachusetts Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educators and therapists Adaptability to travel between school sites as needed Passion for helping children develop skills for independence and academic success Ability to implement treatment plans under the supervision of an OTR/L What you'll do: Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students as designated in IEPs Assist in evaluating student abilities and needs in collaboration with the supervising OTR/L Support the development and modification of classroom activities to encourage participation and access Document progress, maintain records, and contribute to IEP meetings as needed Provide guidance to staff and families regarding student strategies and progress Travel across multiple school buildings to deliver consistent, high-quality care This contract role offers variety, professional growth, and the chance to make a difference daily.
