Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Make an impact in students' lives by supporting their growth and development as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in a vibrant school community near Lynn, MA. This contract opportunity runs from September 2nd through June 15th and offers the chance to work 4 days per week across multiple sites, serving students in grades K-12. Bring your passion for empowering young learners to a collaborative educational environment. You'll partner closely with supervising Occupational Therapists and school professionals to deliver evidence‑based interventions that foster student independence in both classroom and daily life skills.
Qualifications:
Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Previous experience supporting children or adolescents, ideally in educational settings Knowledge of best practices for pediatric occupational therapy Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Adaptable, positive approach to meeting the unique needs of diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing student‑specific intervention plans as developed by an Occupational Therapist Support students in reaching their academic and functional goals Provide direct and indirect therapy services in classroom and small group settings Document progress and collaborate on maintaining accurate student records Communicate regularly with supervising OTs, teachers, and school staff regarding student needs This role offers a rewarding chance to inspire student achievement, enjoy the dynamic setting of multiple school locations, and grow as a pediatric therapy professional.
