Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Marblehead, MA Job Description A school district in Marblehead, Massachusetts is seeking a qualified Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a fulltime, schoolbased contract . This position serves K12 students and supports the delivery of occupational therapy services designed to improve fine motor, sensory, functional, and selfcare skills. Candidates who are studentfocused, collaborative, and passionate about helping students achieve greater independence are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) Implement treatment plans and therapeutic interventions established by the supervising OT Support students in developing fine motor, visual motor, sensory, selfcare, and functional skills Assist with classroom accommodations, adaptive equipment, and therapeutic activities Collect data and document student progress toward IEP goals Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary team members Participate in IEP meetings and contribute information regarding student progress Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district, state, and federal guidelines Qualifications Active Massachusetts Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license required
NBCOT COTA
certification required Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and district clearances Licensing and credentialing support may be available for eligible candidates Education Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Experience Previous schoolbased, pediatric, or clinical experience preferred Experience supporting students with developmental, sensory, physical, or behavioral disabilities preferred New graduates with appropriate licensure are encouraged to apply Skills Strong knowledge of occupational therapy interventions and techniques Excellent communication and collaboration skills Strong organizational and documentation abilities Ability to follow treatment plans and adapt strategies as needed Commitment to supporting diverse student populations Work Hours MondayFriday 8:00 AM 3:30 PM Approximately 3740 hours per week Compensation & Benefits This contract position offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including: Weekly pay Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and credentials Medical, dental, and vision insurance options 401(k) retirement plan options Ongoing clinical and administrative support throughout the assignment Professional development and continuing education resources Opportunity for contract renewal or extension Housing and travel assistance for eligible candidates Equal Opportunity Employment All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.
