Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility to promote independence and well-being Implement treatment plans designed by licensed occupational therapists, ensuring therapeutic goals are met effectively Support pediatric occupational therapy interventions for children with childhood developmental delays and autism spectrum disorder Facilitate therapy sessions for clients with neurodevelopmental disorders and disabilities across inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings Help with patient transport within healthcare facilities and ensure safe manual handling during therapy activities Document care activities accurately in care records, including progress notes and treatment documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations Collaborate seamlessly with healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, speech therapists, and caregivers—to optimize patient outcomes Experience Prior experience working in acute care settings such as hospitals or skilled nursing facilities is highly preferred Demonstrated experience in outpatient clinics or home health environments is advantageous Knowledge of medical imaging terminology and physiology enhances your ability to support comprehensive patient care Proven ability to work with individuals of all ages—pediatrics to geriatrics—and those with complex needs such as disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders Familiarity with care documentation systems and medical terminology ensures accurate record keeping and effective communication Hands-on experience assisting with treatment plan implementation for clients with autism or other developmental delays is a plus Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to empowering individuals through tailored occupational therapy services.
