Somerset Ridge Center is seeking a new Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our growing In-House therapy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and motivated clinician looking to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative, skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. Somerset Ridge Center is a 135 bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility located in a historic waterfront town in Bristol County which features scenic waterfront views along the Taunton River and quiet local parks. The facility hosts regular canine visits to provide comfort, companionship, and therapeutic joy for the residents.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing Assure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers Monitor patient response to treatment intervention Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition. Assessing and interpreting patient evaluations and test results. Developing treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques. Creating personalized fitness-oriented health care programs for patients. Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility. Advising patients on exercise techniques. Advising patients and their families about in-home treatment options. Providing educational information about injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote physical health. Consulting and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. Documenting patient care history. Complying with rules, regulations, and procedures.

Qualifications:

Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current COTA license in the state of employment. CPR certification required. Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care preferred. Strong understanding of rehabilitation principles, restorative care, and geriatric populations.
