This full-time contract position is scheduled to begin as soon as possible, covering an FMLA leave through November, with a strong possibility for extension. Youll collaborate closely with educators and occupational therapists, helping students reach their fullest potential.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Massachusetts is required. Previous experience in a school-based environment preferred, but new graduates with passion and initiative are encouraged to apply. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, staff, and families. Positive, adaptable mindset for working in a fast-paced and supportive educational setting. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Primary Responsibilities:
Support and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Assist students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and daily living skills as part of their educational goals. Collaborate with teachers and parents to share progress and provide strategies for student success. Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for students on caseload (to be discussed in detail during the interview).
