What You'll Do As a Pediatric COTA, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help children build the skills they need to participate more independently and confidently in everyday life. Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans established by the supervising OT. Provide engaging, play-based therapy targeting areas such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, coordination, and functional independence. Adapt therapeutic activities to meet each child's individual needs, abilities, and interests. Build positive, supportive relationships with children and their families. Communicate with caregivers about therapy sessions, progress, and strategies that can support skills at home. Accurately document treatment sessions and patient progress. Collaborate with supervising OTs and our multidisciplinary team to provide coordinated, child-centered care. Bring creativity, flexibility, and FUN into therapy sessions! What We're Looking For Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Current NBCOT certification as a COTA Valid North Carolina Occupational Therapy Assistant license or eligibility for licensure Strong communication and teamwork skills. A creative and playful approach to working with children. Growth mindset and willingness to learn and receive feedback. Pediatric experience is preferred, but strong candidates with a passion for working with children are encouraged to apply!
