Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and neurodiversity affirming Occupational Therapist or COTA to join our growing team. We are a newer clinic located in the Ogden area of Wilmington, North Carolina and were recently voted as Family Favorite for Occupational Therapy for 2024 by readers of Wilmington Parent Magazine. Our awesome new facility has been repeatedly praised by parents and features two fully equipped sensory gyms, a full kitchen for feeding therapy or cooking activities, and multiple treatment rooms with a large selection of toys and resources. This posting is for a full-time caseload, but can be adjusted to accommodate part time if needed. Pay range is $38-45 per session for COTAs and $45-60 for occupational therapists. Duties Conduct assessments to evaluate clients' physical and functional abilities. Develop individualized treatment plans based on families needs and goals. Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' skills in activities of daily living (ADLs). Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive discharge planning. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care strategies. Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes. Stay updated on evidence based and best practices in pediatric occupational therapy and relevant medical advancements. Qualifications Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Valid state licensure or certification as required by law. Pediatric experience is highly desirable, but new graduates considered. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
