  • Implement treatment plans and help patients perform therapeutic activities.
  • Provide direct support in developing social and daily living skills.
  • Collect and assess patient information.
  • Instruct patients and families in treatment techniques.
  • Monitor performance and provide encouragement.
  • Document patient progress.
  • Maintain treatment records.
  • Perform clerical tasks. Certifications/Requirements
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification from NBCOT required.
  • COTA-L (Licensed) in states requiring licensure.
  • BLS/CPR certification.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Experience
  • Associate degree from ACOTE-accredited OTA program required.
  • Level I and Level II Fieldwork components (minimum 24 weeks total).
