9681665-03801 Job Description Step into an exciting full-time opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting middle school students for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract position, beginning ASAP and running through June 2027, offers the chance to make a tangible difference in students lives while working in a collaborative school environment near Portsmouth, NH. Youll be joining a dedicated team focused on student success, contributing occupational therapy services throughout the school week (MondayFriday, 35 hours per week). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with adolescents, collaborating closely with colleagues, and growing their skill set in a school-based environment.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Active COTA licensure in the state Previous experience in schools, especially with middle school students, is highly valued Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset Ability to adapt to evolving caseload needs Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation preferred Reliable, organized, and committed to providing exceptional therapy support
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy support to middle school students in accordance with IEP goals Collaborate with occupational therapists and educational teams to design and implement effective interventions Accurately document student progress and maintain records as required Adapt strategies and materials to accommodate diverse student abilities Participate in meetings, professional development, and ongoing team communications The assignment offers valuable hands-on experience and the satisfaction of impacting young learners at a formative stage.
