Full-Time | Monday-Friday About the Role Are you passionate about helping children achieve their highest potential? Tresco, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to work alongside licensed Occupational Therapists in implementing individualized programs that support children in reaching their developmental goals. This role makes a real difference by supporting families, educators, and students in a collaborative, compassionate, and professional environment. What You'll Do As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will: Assist with evaluations of students in areas such as motor skills, postural reflexes, self-care, and adaptive equipment needs. Implement individualized therapy plans under the direction of an Occupational Therapist. Attend and contribute to IFSP meetings and team discussions to support student goals. Work closely with parents, educators, and early interventionists to ensure consistency in therapy strategies at school and home. Maintain clear and accurate documentation of progress , while providing updates to supervising therapists. Promote growth and learning by staying current on new techniques, materials, and equipment in the field. Represent Tresco with professionalism and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications Education & Experience:
Background in Early Intervention, Education, or related field preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
Valid Driver's License required; must maintain vehicle insurance per NM State law.
Background Checks:
Must successfully complete general background check, MVR (driving record), NMDOH fingerprinting, and other required clearances.
Skills:
Strong communication skills in English (reading, writing, speaking). Ability to interact professionally with colleagues, families, and community partners. Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required. Why Join Tresco?
