This full-time role welcomes both licensed Occupational Therapists (OT) and Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTA). Youll collaborate alongside dedicated educators to deliver innovative therapy services to students, with flexibility for various caseloads according to your strengths and interests.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Current, valid Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license in New Mexico or eligibility for licensure Experience or strong interest in working with school-aged children Excellent communication and organizational skills to engage with students, teachers, and families Adaptability to manage a diverse range of needs and caseload sizes Commitment to fostering students' independence and participation within the school environment
Key Responsibilities:
Perform evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver direct therapy services to students Collaborate with instructional teams in developing strategies to enhance students learning, participation, and daily functioning Maintain detailed records of progress, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with school protocols Participate in team meetings, IEP development, and regular communication with families and staff Support inclusive practices and encourage participation for students with varying abilities This position offers the satisfaction of making a meaningful difference in students lives each day and the opportunity to refine your clinical skills in a supportive atmosphere.
