What You'll Do Working under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist, the Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/OTA) provides hands-on care and supports the delivery of individualized occupational therapy programs. In this role, you will: Provide direct patient care in accordance with individualized treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist. Implement therapeutic activities and interventions designed to improve patients' functional abilities, independence, and quality of life. Monitor patient responses and progress and communicate observations with the supervising Occupational Therapist. Assist patients in developing and improving skills needed for daily activities and functional independence. Collaborate with nurses, therapists, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team. Educate and encourage patients and families throughout the rehabilitation process. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Follow established clinical standards, policies, and procedures. Remain flexible and responsive to the needs of the hospital and patients. Join the PAMily and make a difference, one patient at a time. Qualifications Education & Licensure Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current OTA license in the state where the hospital or clinic is located. Current BLS certification required. Experience One year of clinical experience preferred. Inpatient hospital experience preferred, but motivated candidates with a strong desire to learn and grow are encouraged to apply.
