Job Description

Optimal Therapy Associates Services has an immediate opening in the Kenton School District. As a member of our group, the COTA will participate as a part of the educational team to support students in their least restrictive environment; enhancing the quality of life for our student population. Duties
  • Assist in the implementation of occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist
  • Provide direct patient care and interventions to help individuals regain or improve their ability to perform daily activities
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine patients' needs and develop appropriate treatment goals
  • Collaborate with the occupational therapist to develop and modify treatment plans based on patient progress and goals
  • Document patient progress, treatment outcomes, and any changes in condition
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for maximizing independence Qualifications
  • Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging
  • Experience or interest in working with pediatric patients is preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
