Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to join our team at Mayfair Care Center in Hempstead, New York. Role:
The Occupational Therapist Assistant will work closely with our occupational therapists to design and implement individualized therapy plans for our patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting occupational therapists with patient assessments, goal setting, and treatment plans Providing direct patient care, including exercises, activities, and training on daily living skills Modifying activities to meet the unique needs of each patient Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams Participating in patient education and discharge planning Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements:
Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant studies 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant Current OTA certification or Licensure (if applicable) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with rehabilitation settings and treatment approaches and take the first step towards a rewarding career with Mayfair Care Center!
