Job Description
D&T Cabinets is an established custom cabinetry manufacturer specializing in high-quality residential cabinetry and architectural millwork. We are looking for an experienced, dependable Cabinet Maker who understands cabinet construction and can work through multiple stages of the manufacturing process. This is not an entry-level position . We are looking for someone who can read cabinet shop drawings, understand how cabinets are constructed, operate woodworking machinery safely and accurately, and assemble cabinetry to a high standard. Responsibilities Read and interpret cabinet shop drawings, dimensions and production specifications Cut cabinet components accurately using a panel saw Operate an edgebander and produce clean, properly finished components Identify parts and understand how individual components relate to the finished cabinet Assemble base cabinets, wall cabinets, tall cabinets, vanities and other custom cabinetry Use pneumatic nailers, staplers, drills, screw guns and other woodworking tools Check dimensions and verify accuracy before and during assembly Identify problems or discrepancies in drawings or components before proceeding Maintain quality and productivity throughout the manufacturing process Properly handle finished and unfinished cabinet components Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area Work independently while also functioning as part of the production team What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who can be given a set of cabinet shop drawings and understand what needs to be built and how the pieces go together .
You should be:
Experienced in cabinetmaking, millwork or woodworking manufacturing Able to read and understand cabinet shop drawings Comfortable working with measurements, fractions and dimensions Experienced with panel saws and woodworking machinery Familiar with edgebanding equipment Experienced assembling frameless and/or face-frame cabinetry Comfortable using pneumatic woodworking tools Detail-oriented and quality-conscious Productive without sacrificing workmanship Dependable and punctual Able to work with limited supervision once a job has been explained Willing to move between cutting, edgebanding, machining and assembly as production requires Experience Cabinetmaking or cabinet manufacturing experience is strongly preferred. Applicants with experience in custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, closet manufacturing, commercial millwork or similar woodworking environments are encouraged to apply. General construction or carpentry experience alone may not be sufficient unless you also have experience with cabinet construction and shop machinery. Compensation $20.00-$30.00 per hour Starting pay will be based on experience, demonstrated skill level and ability to work independently. Candidates with strong cabinetmaking experience who can read shop drawings, operate a panel saw and edgebander, and assemble cabinetry with minimal supervision will be considered toward the higher end of the pay range.
