Sigma Rehab seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support delivery of high-quality rehab services in a compassionate, patient-centered setting. Working under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will assist in implementing treatment plans, guide patients through therapeutic activities, monitor progress, and accurately document sessions. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families on home programs, and help ensure a safe, motivating environment. Responsibilities Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under OT supervision Guide patients through therapeutic activities and ADL training Monitor, record, and report patient progress and response to treatment Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in EMR systems Educate patients and families on home exercise and safety strategies Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and physicians to optimize outcomes Ensure adherence to safety, HIPAA, and infection control protocols Contribute to a supportive, patient-centered rehab environment Required Skills Therapeutic exercise techniques ADL retraining and functional task practice Neuromuscular re-education Use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices Safe patient handling and transfer techniques Clinical documentation and EMR proficiency Understanding of treatment plans and goal setting Knowledge of rehab protocols and safety standards Patient and family education skills Time management and caseload prioritization
