Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team. Working under the direction of our experienced Occupational Therapists, you will carry out designated treatment plans for our pediatric clients. Your commitment to collaboration and enhancing the lives of children will help us continue to provide exceptional care.
Responsibilities:
Carry out designated treatment plans as outlined by the Occupational Therapist, aiming to help children develop, recover, improve, and maintain the skills needed for daily living. Observe patients during therapy, documenting their progress, and communicating with the Occupational Therapist. Prepare therapy equipment and the treatment area, ensuring a safe and clean environment. Collaborate with other therapy team members, providing insights and contributing to a cohesive patient care experience. Educate families on home activities that support therapeutic goals, enhancing patient success. Participate in optional weekly trainings to foster professional growth and enhance clinical skills. Adhere to clinic policies, maintaining confidentiality and professional standards. Perform administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current state license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. Experience working with pediatric clients preferred, but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to ongoing professional development.
