Hillside Plaza is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our rehabilitation team. Working under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will provide individualized therapy that helps residents strengthen daily living skills and reach their care goals. Rooted in the Community Hillside Plaza is a vital part of Cleveland's east side, providing compassionate care and building lasting relationships with residents and families. What You'll Do Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and in accordance with each resident's treatment plan. Help residents develop daily living skills, improve functional abilities, and use adaptive equipment. Assist with resident assessments, care planning, and discharge planning. Document treatment, resident responses, and progress accurately and promptly. Communicate changes in resident needs and recommend treatment adjustments to the Occupational Therapist. Educate residents and families on home programs, adaptive equipment, and techniques that support independence. Collaborate with nursing staff and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Maintain a safe, clean therapy environment and follow infection prevention procedures. Protect resident privacy and provide care with kindness, dignity, and respect. What You'll Bring An associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. A current, active, unencumbered Ohio Occupational Therapy Assistant license. Training in rehabilitative and restorative therapy practices. Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills. A patient, encouraging approach to working with residents and families. The ability to perform essential job duties, including assisting with resident mobility and transfers, with or without reasonable accommodation. Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or a related healthcare setting is preferred. Why Join Hillside Plaza?
