Job Description

Empower Behavioral Health & Intervention is looking for an Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to work at our Autism Intervention Center in NW Columbus, Ohio. The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) is a licensed professional that provides occupational therapy services, consultation, and training to our clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. We serve clients ages 3

•22 years old.

SCHEDULE

Monday

•Friday 8 am

•4:30 pm Salary commensurate with experience

Position Responsibilities:

Will be provided hands-on supervision from OT and actively works COTA's caseload. Works collaboratively with SLPs, BCBAs, and the Social Work team. Assesses treatment of referred clients that require habilitation services which includes: providing direct care to assess functional capabilities as well as limitations and restrictions and potential for treatment. Establishes and administers a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the client's capacity and/or educational plan. Provides realistic and achievable goals for the children, document and record the client's condition, and educate staff and clients, as well as their families. Applies the principles of behavior-based interventions to facilitate the implementation of services. Accurately and immediately completes billing for delivered services. Must be able to pass a background check.

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited occupational therapy assistant education program with at least two (2) years professional experience required. Bachelor's or master's degree in social work, psychology, nursing, or in related human services desired. State of Ohio License as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistance. All required licenses and certificates must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
