Job Description
Cridersville Health Care Center (SNF) in Cridersville, OH is seeking a new Full Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our growing In-House therapy team. This position is split with Wapakoneta Health Care Center (ALF) in Wapakoneta, OH. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and motivated clinician looking to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative, skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. Our therapy and rehab teams are renowned for their outstanding patient outcomes through our physical, occupational, and speech therapy programs. We have highly-trained, dedicated, and compassionate staff members who work together to help improve the physical and emotional well-being of our residents. We utilize advanced techniques and equipment to help our residents regain their independence and return to their optimal health.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing Assure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers Monitor patient response to treatment intervention Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition. Assessing and interpreting patient evaluations and test results. Developing treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques. Creating personalized fitness-oriented health care programs for patients. Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility. Advising patients on exercise techniques. Advising patients and their families about in-home treatment options. Providing educational information about injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote physical health. Consulting and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. Documenting patient care history. Complying with rules, regulations, and procedures.Qualifications:
Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current COTA license in the state of employment. CPR certification required. Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care preferred. Strong understanding of rehabilitation principles, restorative care, and geriatric populations.
