Job Description

Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract Make an impact supporting student success as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with a contract position beginning as soon as possible and running through December. This is a unique opportunity to provide maternity leave coverage across five school sites, including two elementary schools, one middle school, and two high schools. You'll work with a caseload of approximately 75 students, many of whom are at the secondary level and typically seen monthly or for consultative services. This flexible, school-based role lets you apply your knowledge while collaborating with educators and families to promote students' independence and participation in learning environments. Qualifications & Experience Sought:
Current licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Experience in school settings preferred Familiarity with caseloads at both elementary and secondary levels Confidence managing schedules and supporting student goals across multiple campuses Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with occupational therapists, teachers, and families Ability to travel between school sites as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Provide occupational therapy support and direct services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist Implement IEP goals and interventions for a varied group of students Maintain timely documentation and progress reporting Adapt therapeutic strategies for both direct sessions and consultative roles Participate in team meetings and communicate student progress Support staff and caregivers with practical recommendations and resources Enjoy the variety and growth that comes with covering multiple campuses, building experience with all age groups, and playing a meaningful part in students' educational journeys.
