Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and well-being Support the development and implementation of individualized care plans in collaboration with occupational therapists Provide therapy interventions across various settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health visits Monitor patient progress and document responses to therapy interventions accurately and thoroughly Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, safety techniques, and adaptive equipment use to enhance recovery outcomes Maintain a safe environment by adhering to all healthcare protocols and infection control standards Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to coordinate care and ensure seamless patient support Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from an accredited program Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and occupational health principles Experience working in skilled nursing facilities, inpatient units, outpatient clinics, or home health settings preferred Strong skills in assisting with ADLs and supporting patients across geriatrics and pediatrics populations Familiarity with care plan development and documentation processes Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team in fast-paced environments such as acute care or outpatient settings Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient needs Join us in delivering impactful therapy services that empower individuals to achieve their best possible outcomes.
