Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services that help students develop the skills they need to participate successfully in school and everyday activities. Responsibilities Provide occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Implement treatment plans and IEP goals developed by the supervising OT. Assist students with fine motor development, handwriting, sensory regulation, self-care, visual-motor integration, and functional classroom skills. Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the supervising Occupational Therapist. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and other related service providers. Help prepare therapy materials, adaptive equipment, and classroom supports. Encourage student participation while fostering a positive, supportive learning environment. Follow all district, state, and federal guidelines regarding documentation, confidentiality, and student services. Qualifications Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license/certification in the state of practice. School-based or pediatric experience preferred, but not required. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team. Must meet all state and district clearance requirements.
