Qualifications:
Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Active licensure as required by the state of Pennsylvania Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and document student progress Flexibility, reliability, and a caring, student-centered approach
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the occupational therapist in providing direct therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals Carry out activities and exercises to improve students fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living abilities Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and legal requirements Collaborate with classroom teachers and families to support student participation in all aspects of school life Contribute to IEP meetings and offer valuable input for student planning Adapt therapy techniques as needed based on student progress This contract position offers a meaningful way to make an impact within the schools, helping young learners overcome challenges and achieve greater independence.
