Job Summary:
The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) will provide direct patient care services under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT). The OTA will be responsible for documenting patient treatments, changes in condition and other pertinent information as required.
Duties/Responsibilities:
o Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist o Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to Occupational Therapist o Implements and modifies the patient's occupational therapy plan of treatment with OT supervision o Provides clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers o Monitors patient responses to treatments and makes modifications during treatment sessions as necessary o Completes documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations
Skills:
o SNF/Long term care experience preferred o Current knowledge of treatment practices o Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred o Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities Required licensure: o Current License as Occupational Therapy Assistant in the State of Pennsylvania. Must be in good standing. All inquiries will be confidential AA/EEO/M/F/D/V
