WeCare Centers at Heritage Care Center is actively seeking a motivated, part-time , Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for our community in Squirrel Hill, PA! Key Responsibilities Work in collaboration with the OT to establish a rehabilitation plan. Consult with the rehabilitation team to choose effective activity programs. Coordinate occupational therapy with other types of therapeutic activities. Follow guidance of OTR/L in selecting therapy activities to fit Residents' needs and capabilities. Assist Residents in carrying out daily activities. Teach Residents how to use special equipment to assist with daily function. Report the Resident's progress to the OTR/L. Responsibly and accurately document treatments and outcomes in rehab software. Assist in educating patients with home exercise programs and use of equipment. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. Certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state of PA. Knowledge of principles, methods, and equipment used in occupational therapy.
