Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant COTA Southwestern Nursing and Rehabilitation Center West Mifflin, PA Job Details Per diem $30 - $35 an hour 10 hours ago Qualifications Collaborate with healthcare professionals Full Job Description Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - PRN Southwestern Nursing and Rehab, PA Position Summary Southwestern Nursing and Rehab, PA is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house therapy team . This full-time role supports our Occupational Therapists in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care that enhances residents' independence, functional abilities, and overall quality of life. Key Responsibilities Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve residents' functional and daily living skills Accurately document treatments, progress notes, and resident responses in compliance with facility, state, and federal guidelines Participate in interdisciplinary care plan meetings and contribute to resident goal setting Educate residents, families, and caregivers on strategies to support independence and safety Maintain therapy equipment to ensure cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning Adhere to all regulatory, ethical, and facility standards of care Qualifications Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license/certification in good standing Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility (SNF) or rehabilitation setting preferred Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team Why Join Us?
