Assists the treating occupational therapist in documenting a patient's progress and response to treatment. Teaches task-oriented therapeutic activities designed to restore physical function, as well as sensory-integrative function. Teaches compensatory techniques to improve the level of independence in the activities of daily living (ADLs). What You'll Need Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistance (COTA) license in South Carolina. Graduate of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Successfully completed the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc.
