Job Description

Job Summary Tiny Triumphs Therapy is seeking a passionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our pediatric occupational therapy team. This position is ideal for a COTA who loves working with children, enjoys a play-based therapy approach, and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families. Position Responsibilities Provide skilled occupational therapy interventions to pediatric clients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising OT to address each child's specific needs and goals. Provide treatment targeting areas such as: Fine motor and visual motor skills Gross motor coordination Sensory processing and regulation Activities of daily living (dressing, grooming, toileting, etc.) Feeding and functional mealtime skills Handwriting and pre-writing skills Play skills and participation Attention and emotional regulation Functional independence and age-appropriate developmental skills Use engaging, child-centered and play-based activities to promote participation and skill development. Modify activities and therapeutic approaches based on each child's response and individual needs. Communicate regularly with supervising OTs regarding client progress, challenges, and treatment needs. Document treatment sessions accurately and in a timely manner. Communicate professionally with parents/caregivers regarding treatment activities and carryover strategies as directed by the supervising OT. Collaborate with families and other members of the child's care team when appropriate. Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive therapeutic environment. Reliable Transportation required to travel to and from in-home client appointments. What We're Looking For Current COTA certification and state licensure/eligibility to practice. A genuine passion for working with children and families. Pediatric experience is preferred but not required. Strong communication and documentation skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the supervising OT. Creative, energetic, patient, and adaptable approach to working with children. Interest in developmental, sensory, feeding, and functional pediatric therapy primarily for 0-5 ages. What We Offer A supportive, collaborative pediatric therapy environment. Pay:
$25.00 - $39.00 per hour
